With its Instagram-worthy murals, eclectic shops, long-standing music venues, and local restaurants, the east side has a personality all its own. We're a block off Sixth Street, steps from the Plaza Saltillo MetroRail station, and next to Target and Whole Foods — which means we're as easy to hit for a quick weeknight dinner as we are for a proper night out. From here you're within striking distance of Rainey Street, the Convention Center, I-35, and the cocktail bars and taquerias that made this side of town famous. Whether you live in East Austin, Holly, Govalle, or you're visiting from out of town and staying downtown, we're right on your path. Heading to or from a show, a conference, a game, or a night on Sixth — we're the stop that makes the evening better. Everything here is made the way it should be — buns baked in-house, fries hand-cut from Chipperbec potatoes, and a full bar with hand-shaken margaritas, craft cocktails, local Austin drafts, and boozy milkshakes. Hopdoddy was born in Austin, and we had too many fans on the east side to not bring our hot buns over here. Come for lunch, stay for happy hour, or fuel up before whatever's next.

Looking for the best happy hour on the east side? Hopdoddy hosts the happiest of them all with 1/2 off cocktails, beer & wine Monday through Thursday from 3-6PM. Our sliders & crispy chicken tenders are the perfect after work snack. Or grab a big bowl of sharable fries - like the famous Parmesan Truffle, Green Chile Queso or Hot Honey Sweet Potato Fries.
Burgers + More
We don't do one-size-fits-all burgers. Our menu features everything from the best-selling Double Bacon Jam and Wagyu Smash to the heat-packed El Diablo and our bison Roosevelt burger. Add in an Ahi Tuna burger that eats like a sushi roll, a Nashville Hot Fried Chicken and Veggie Burgers with a natural patty made from real ingredients, and you've got a menu worth exploring top to bottom. More flavors of hand-cut fries than you'll find anywhere, made fresh daily from potatoes grown specifically to be fries. Every bowl is built for sharing. Our tossed and sauced crispy brussels sprout leaves are the sleeper hit on the menu. Cold beer, hand-shaken margs, craft cocktails, and spiked milkshakes, we're a burger bar with a real bar. Proximity to Airport
There are a few ways to get to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) from our East Austin burger bar. Each direction involves an 8-10 mile route, but we recommend choosing your path based on the time of day, as I-35 can become heavily congested during peak travel hours. Without traffic, it’s about a 15-minute drive.
Nearby Attractions
East Austin is one of the fastest-growing areas in the city and is best known for its local dining and bar scene. Many attractions near Hopdoddy at Plaza Saltillo are extremely walkable. The 6th street bar scene, for instance, is only a block away. Or if you’re looking for a convenient spot to grab a bite while running errands, we’re located right next to Target and Whole Foods.
Parking
There’s plenty of metered street parking within walking distance of Hopdoddy at Plaza Saltillo, which you can pay either at a pay station or via the Park ATX mobile app. Street parking is free of charge on Sundays.
