Supplier Spotlight: Vital Farms

Vital Farms shares our commitment to ethical, high-quality food and is blessed to be found between our buns.
Who is Vital Farms?
Vital Farms® is a leading pasture-raised egg brand in the U.S., and they’re on a mission to bring ethical food to the table. They do everything they can to improve the lives of people, animals, and the planet through food.
Vital Farms began in Austin, TX, and instead of scaling into one large operation, they partnered with a network of like-minded farmers who put the welfare of their animals first. Today, hundreds of farms uphold Vital Farms’ exacting standards and the farming practices they believe are best for the hens and the land.
Whether it’s giving the hens outdoor access, enabling you to trace your eggs back to the source, or setting the record straight in the egg aisle, you can always trust that Vital Farms is keeping it Bullsh*t-Free. Their pasture-raised eggs are delicious, ethical food you don’t have to question.
Why are their eggs so special?
We top our burgers with Vital Farms pasture-raised eggs, laid by hens that roam free on farms tended with care. Known for their deep golden yolks and exceptional quality, these eggs are widely recognized as some of the best you can buy.
Their hens, or the girls as they call them, have at least 108 square feet of pasture each. Vital Farms makes sure the girls live happy, healthy lives enjoying fresh air and sunshine.
Most of their farms are located within what they call the Pasture Belt™, those warmer-weather states where winters are mild and the girls can nosh on native grasses and vegetation year-round. It is not too hot and not too cold, making it the perfect climate for hens to roam and graze outdoors.
Their award-winning egg washing and packing facility, Egg Central Station (ECS), is based in Springfield, Missouri, less than a day’s drive from most of their partner farms. Powered by an incredible crew, ECS helps grade, wash, and pack eggs before they are shipped to grocery stores and Hopdoddy’s across the country, ultimately landing between your buns.
