Supplier Spotlight: Vital Farms

Vital Farms shares our commitment to ethical, high-quality food and is blessed to be found between our buns.

Who is Vital Farms?

VitalFarms® is a leading pasture-raised egg brand in theUS and they’re on a mission to bring ethical food to the table. They do everything they can to improve the lives of people, animals, and the planetthrough food.

Vital Farms began as a single-family farm in Austin, TX. As they grew, they didn't make their farm bigger. Instead, they found more like-minded farmers who put the welfare of their animals first. Today, over 300family farms commit to their exacting standards and the farming practices that they believe are best for the hens and the land.

Whether it’s giving the hens outdoor access, supporting family farmers, enabling you to trace your eggs back to the farm, or setting the record straight in the egg aisle, you can always trust that Vital Farms is Keeping it Bullsh*t-Free. Their eggs from family farms are delicious, ethical food you don’t have to question.

Why are their eggs so special?

We top our burgers with their pasture-raised eggs, which means their hens – or the girls as they call them – have access to roam on at least 108 square feet of pasture each. Vital Farms makes sure their pasture-raised hens live happy, healthy lives enjoying fresh air.

Each of their more than 300 family farmers thrives in a region that they call the Pasture Belt™, those warmer-weather states where the winters are mild, and the girls can nosh on native grasses and vegetation year-round. It’s not too hot and not too cold — perfect for their feathered friends to roam and graze in the sunshine.

Their award-winning egg washing and packing facility, Egg Central Station (ECS), nests in Springfield, Missouri, less than a day's drive from more than 300 family farms. ECS is powered by an incredible crew, who help to grade, wash, and pack their eggs before they’re shipped to grocery stores and Hopdoddy’s across the country — ultimately landing between your buns.
